06-03-2018After a year since the project broke ground, the second phase of the project construction has conintued and we see new parts are being materialized, including the 2 pedestrian bridges. West 8 chooses locally produced, intricate brick masonry for the public space, and the ornate bridge railings of precast terrazzo that reflect the park’s historical identity. The project is currently entering its final stage of construction which will continue also this year. It will serve as Cali Central Park when completes and a pedestrian corridor with a bike path arranged on both banks of the river.
Local news paper reported the project periodically (in Spainish): Elpais.com, and here is an interview of the Colombian project architect of West 8 team, Juan Figueroa Calero.
