Bridges of Noordwaard project completed and open to the public

West 8 and IPV Delft have designed 33 bridges and 12 water pumping stations in this polder landscape which offer new opportunities for nature and recreation, as part of the national Room for the River initiative. The newly 'depoldered' Noordwaard has been open to the public since the 12th of October.

New theatre for Den Helder

On October 16th, Den Helder's 'De Kampanje' theatre reopened at the former naval yard 'Willemsoord'. Van Dongen - Koschuch Architects and Planners are responsible for the transformation of the maritime buildings into a vibrant cultural centre, as part of the ongoing revitalization of the Den Helder city centre outlined in West 8's masterplan.

The Making of Waterliniemuseum Fort bij Vechten

These two videos explain the design and construction of the new Waterliniemuseum building at Fort bij Vechten (in Dutch). A project masterplan by West 8 and Penne Hangelbroek in collaboration with studio Anne Holtrop.
