Panorama Nederland on Tour
07-05-2019The Netherlands is facing a number of complex issues: climate change, an ageing society, the transition to renewable energy, an acute shortage of housing and limits in agricultural development. The Panorama Nederland presents an image of a country that remains extremely recognizable for everyone, but that works fundamentally differently in terms of mobility, food production, building techniques and energy generation. It is a future perspective for the spatial design of the Netherlands.
The Panorama Nederland (Panorama the Netherlands) is not only a publication, but also a physical panorama: a 360-degree imagination at eye level in which visitors can take a look into the future. It is an initiative of the Board of Government Advisors (Floris Alkemade, Berno Strootman and Daan Zandbelt) and has been produced in close collaboration with the Deltametropolis Association and the designers and visual artists of West 8.
This panorama will travel through the Netherlands in 2019. In the coming period it can be seen at various locations across the country including Tilburg, Utrecht, Leeuwarden, The Hague, Breda and Maastricht. More details on locations and dates can be found on the official Panorama Nederland Project website.
